Who Am I
Merry Meet! My Name is Donald Lamp (pronouns: He, Him), Founder and High Priest (Satai) of The Disciples of Eros and The Amethyst Dragon Coven of New Castle, Delaware. I have been Practicing Wicca and Witchcraft for 25 years, I have been Reiki attuned, certified for energy healing and treatments, as well as officially Ordained by the Universal Life Church for 20 years.
The Coven of the Amethyst Dragon is not a traditional "coven", rather it is organized more as an Open Circle. Meaning there is no requirement or expectation of official membership, initiation, dedication, volunteering, nor any financial "dues" to participate in rituals or services. Tantra for Gay Men
Tantra involves adapting traditional Hindu and Buddhist Tantric principles and practices to address the specific spiritual and relational needs and experiences of gay-identified individuals. It emphasizes embracing an integrated gay identity as an aid for spiritual growth, self-acceptance, and deep connection with others. While the general principles of Tantra (connecting body, mind, and spirit; harnessing sexual energy for spiritual development; exploring consciousness) remain the same regardless of sexual orientation, the application for gay men often focuses on key traumas unique to being Gay in environments that are no LGBTQ+ friendly.
Surrogate Partner Therapy (SPT)
Surrogate Partner Therapy is a form of sex and relationship therapy where a surrogate partner works physically and intimately with a client to help them achieve specific goals. Surrogate partners are experienced in working with clients of all ages and ethnicities.
Sacred Intimacy
This practice views erotic energy and sexuality as a natural, healthy, and sacred part of human life and spiritual health, challenging societal shame and stigma often faced by gay men. It aims to provide a safe space for individuals to heal from past sexual trauma, shame, body image issues, or abuse by exploring their desires and vulnerabilities in a protected environment.
Coming of Age, Life Cycle Rituals
Centuries ago, when children transitioned to adulthood there were unique challenges required to teach them vital survival skills or for them to prove themselves worthy. In this modern age, such traditions have vanished, yet the primal need for such "recognition" is still vitally needed. Whether you are celebrating a transition from Child to Adolescence, Adolescence to Adulthood, or Eldering Rites. We need acknowledgement, recognition, and encouragement during these life cycle transitions especially as members of the Gay Community.
End of Life Rituals
We are mid-wives for the dying; just like a birth midwife is present at the time of a child's birth, to guide them into this world, to cut the cord, and to comfort them until they can enter their parent's arms. We provide similar services for the dying. We are there to provide comfort and company when other family is not available. We help them cut ties and make sure there is no unfinished business before passing into the next life. We comfort them before the higher beings that await them on the other side of the veil can take them into their embrace.
